Micah and Kat are another of our Heidelberg couples, and on our field trip to Barcelona I took some photos of them!

I had so much fun photographing this family, partly because I have known Krista since junior high! (You have an instant bond when you share an uncommon first name, I think.) These little boys are going to be serious heartbreakers one day soon, so watch out Krista. 🙂 I had a hard time choosing my favorites, there were so many I loved!

“How about we check out that playground over there, you guys.”

This little one was not terribly thrilled about being photographed until the very end. And then he gave me this and my heart melted.

Jason and Regina have such sweet and adorable kids. And they’re also two of the nicest people I know! I went to visit my parents and got to do a few shoots after Christmas, and am so happy I got to meet these little girls! 🙂

Regina made their little tutus. So. adorable.

And who can resist ruffly initialed bloomers?

Their big kid is so handsome, and liked taking “cool dude” pictures. He’s pretty good at it!

And then tried to make a break for it. Luckily dad has quick reflexes. 🙂

Kelle is a friend of mine who works at a local university. She needed a new photo for her division’s website and called me! We took a lot of professional headshots as well as some fun and casual photos. Here are two of my favorites.

Rachel is one of my dearest friends, and I was so excited to be able to photograph her family, her mother and father-in-law, and her sister and brother-in-law (who are expecting a daughter in the winter)! I had a blast with them, all on this beautiful property in santa barbara…I would shoot there every day if I could!

judi & james {newlyweds}

Holy behind-with-blogging, batman! Going back to september…

Judi got in touch with me to find out about getting some couple photos of herself and James. They had gotten married in a small private ceremony in August and didn’t have a photographer. I was excited to shoot some in the clothes they were married in as well as more casual outfits. We planned to do a beach shoot but the wind in Malibu was not cooperating with us, so we moved to the park near my house and got some sweet shots.

Fierce.

It was so great meeting both of you!!! 🙂

pepperdine university math formal {malibu, ca party photographer}

My husband is on the faculty at Pepperdine University, and every year his program throws a formal, complete with Wood Ranch dinner, games, dancing, and since we’ve been there I’ve added photos. This is the first year I did a photobooth with a casino theme to go along with the theme of the party (thanks to Abby at paper&CAKE!!), and it worked out SO well. The students thought it was fun, the photos are hilarious, and the students had a good time! 🙂

tahnee & daniel {malibu, ca maternity photographer}

 

I love it when I feel an instant connection with my clients, and Tahnee and Daniel are no exception. She called me a couple of weeks ago to inquire about baby shower/maternity photography, and I could not have been more excited. I love all things baby, and am so happy for them!

We did the maternity session at the Malibu Pier, which is a fantastic location for photos!! We had a great morning!

Tahnee and Daniel, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this special adventure in your lives!! I hope all goes well with Daniella’s birth, and I’m already planning some adorable newborn photos… 🙂

chris & anah {agoura hills, ca}

we said farewell to these good friends as they begin a new adventure…a move from CA to AZ! chris and anah are two of the most genuine and kind people i know, and i’ve been so blessed to know them. these are some photos i took at the last small group they came to…where we celebrated and prayed for them. 🙂

happy mother’s day {agoura hills sisters}

I have known Karen since we were in junior high together. I can’t remember how we met (a class, most likely), but she’s always been so sweet and lots of fun! When she got in touch with me the week before mother’s day with an idea her sister had to get some photos together for their mom and grandma, I was so excited! These two were a lot of fun, willing to climb through plants/dirt/onto a pokey tree stump…And I think we got some really good shots!

We started at The Lakes (an outdoor shopping area near my house that has lots of great places to shoot).

Then we came back to my house and shot in the field of wildflowers/weeds (who knew weeds could be so lovely??). We found a great stone wall and tree stump there too – perfect!
