When I got married, I gained some pretty awesome women as cousins. We all have little kids, and it’s fun to get together, especially for a birthday party! Abby (of paper&CAKE) threw a party for her son Jack this past weekend, and it was a blast!
The sharks/scuba diving theme was fantastic, and I love the paper goods that Abby created for the party. Not to mention the awesome cake!! 🙂
Abby’s sister Missy, also a photographer. 🙂 Love you, Missy!
I have known Karen since we were in junior high together. I can’t remember how we met (a class, most likely), but she’s always been so sweet and lots of fun! When she got in touch with me the week before mother’s day with an idea her sister had to get some photos together for their mom and grandma, I was so excited! These two were a lot of fun, willing to climb through plants/dirt/onto a pokey tree stump…And I think we got some really good shots!
We started at The Lakes (an outdoor shopping area near my house that has lots of great places to shoot).
Then we came back to my house and shot in the field of wildflowers/weeds (who knew weeds could be so lovely??). We found a great stone wall and tree stump there too – perfect!
I love this one!!
i saw these weeds along the side of the road and immediately thought that they would be perfect for some maternity photos! luckily, i have a few pregnant friends and was happy when anastacia said i could borrow her belly. 🙂 she and her husband are expecting a baby boy this summer, and i’m sure my kiddos will teach him all of their tricks. 🙂 anastacia, i’m so glad we’re friends – you’re kind, sweet, lovely and i can’t wait to see you become a mom.
A couple of weeks ago, a few of us girls from our Bible study went to celebrate Jenna at her bridal shower! I didn’t take many photos, but I adored the details and had to photograph them!!
This family was kind enough to house me while I stayed in Durham, so I shot some photos of them in exchange! Their daughter just turned one, and is as sweet as can be! We have been friends for several years, and even lived in the same neighborhood for a couple of years! I loved staying at their home, and especially enjoyed getting to know them as parents.
this lovely family was also supporting adam & ashley’s fundraiser. they have made durham their home for several years, and are going to be leaving this summer. i loved photographing them in their neighborhood, leaving them with photos that will remind them of their years here!
This is another family I’ve known for years, and I’ve loved seeing these kids grow up! (It’s amazing how quickly the years have flown by!) This was a fun session – I did some chasing, shooting on the run, and singing, of course. 🙂
