My dear friend is getting married in July, and I am so excited to be a bridesmaid and stand next to her the day she marries the love of her life! All the bridesmaids threw her a shower and we chose a vintage garden theme. It turned out really lovely, and the bride said it was perfectly “her”.
I’m doing a little bit of catch up (after being gone in Germany for eight months!). I realized I never blogged Kelle’s pretty bridal shower from last August! Better late than never. 🙂
First, I love Disneyland. Every time I go, it brings back amazing childhood memories: going on Space Mountain with my dad, chasing Mickey Mouse until we could get his autograph and picture, eating churros and frozen bananas, the Main Street Electrical Parade… I could go on and on. I still love Disneyland and I love taking our boys there and that they love it! I was just looking through some of my favorite Disneyland pictures (some are my own family, some are sessions I did in the park) and wanted to share them with you! 🙂 Let me know if you’re interested in having a family or engagement session done in the park!
This sweet pea just turned two, and I’m so excited that I got to photograph him! We spent the morning at the Malibu Pier, which is such a fun place for photos. 🙂 We took some up on the pier, played in the sand under the pier, and then ended our time with some dinosaurs. It was a great morning! 🙂
They met in high school, went to different colleges, and when he asked her to be his wife she absolutely said yes! I had a great time with Ashley and David’s engagement photos at Paramount Ranch, and I knew their wedding would also be a good time! They got married last August at Rancho de las Palmas in Moorpark, a fantastic outdoor venue. The weather was perfect for their big day, which was full of fun and so many sweet moments I was blessed to witness!

Ashley’s mom and dad had the best reactions when they saw their oldest daughter in her wedding dress.
And she looked amazing!
The guys’ gifts were superhero shirts, which they obviously needed some photos in. I have never felt safer at work!
Ashley and David chose not to see each other until the ceremony, but she really wanted to have a special moment, so the bridesmaids and I orchestrated this tear-jerking, hand-holding moment between bride and groom. They didn’t say a word, but it was such a beautiful meeting. Ashley couldn’t stop smiling, and David was so overcome with emotion that I’m pretty sure everyone was crying.

Another one of my favorite moments – Ashley had a snowflake brooch pinned to her bouquet in honor of her maiden name. After the ceremony, she shared this special moment with her younger sister where she passed the brooch on for her future wedding. More tears!

The reception was so much fun, full of dancing and laughter. Ashley and David, you are a sweet pair and I loved getting to know you both! Best wishes for a fantastic future together!!
Micah and Kat are another of our Heidelberg couples, and on our field trip to Barcelona I took some photos of them!
Maegan and John are two of the students who are with us in Heidelberg. Maegan is a part of the photo club I’m leading while we’re here and she has an infectious laugh and sweet demeanor. John is an amazingly talented musician and so kind. They have been dating for awhile and I thought it would be fun to take some photos of the two of them! 🙂 Here are a few of my favorites…
I have been having a great summer! So many amazing families have had me capture a moment in their lives, and I have loved it. We are prepping to move to Germany for eight months, but I will be accepting sessions after May 15, 2014, so email me if you’re interested!! 🙂

I met Ashley and David on a rainy day in December at Starbucks, learned their sweet story and was excited to be chosen to photograph their wedding in August! We did their engagement session at Paramount Ranch, which is now my favorite location. It is an adorable western “town” that was used in movies quite frequently!
It was so hard for me to choose my favorites from the afternoon, but here they are! Ashley and David, I can’t wait to photograph your wedding this summer!! 🙂
