margarette and scott – engaged! {durham, nc}

Filed under: couple, engagement — kristalucasphotography @ 3:35 pm

I met Margarette when we worked together about 9 years ago! She and Scott are getting married in June (yay!), and I had so much fun shooting their engagement session. We did half of them at the American Tobacco Campus, and the rest at Duke Gardens. The weather was gorgeous, the company hilarious, and I love what we got!! 🙂

I remember meeting Bruce and Renee when they had just moved to Durham when our first son was only six months old! Now they have a baby of their own, Nolan, who was just born last month. I loved photographing the three of them at the gardens – it was a beautiful, perfect day! 🙂

the mcdowell family {durham, nc}

Filed under: baby, children, family — kristalucasphotography @ 11:58 am

I love photographing my friends and their growing families!! We have known this family for many years, and even though we live across the country from them it’s so fun to hear all the things their kids are doing!

I loved this session (even though it was chilly!). Duke Gardens again – one of my favorite places to shoot in Durham. The kids were wearing things that belonged to their parents (the dress was mom’s, the hat was dad’s). So cute and special – I love it!

Ben and Linda are old friends from Tim’s Duke days, and I’m so glad they’re still in Durham so I can see them whenever we visit! Their sweet little boy just turned one, and we did these photos at the Durham Farmer’s Market/Durham Central Park. I had never been to this location, and loved it!!

I had a great time photographing these three – they’re fun, funny and so sweet. (And they bought me coffee, which made me so happy and warm!) 🙂

I mentioned Adam and Ashley in an earlier post, and while I was in town I offered to shoot a mini-session for them. I really wanted to focus on their adoption, and I hope that I can photograph their family of three one day!! 🙂
