i heart faces {beautiful black and white}

i have love love loved black and white photography for years. it’s what i started with using a pinhole camera in the 7th grade, and it’s still my favorite way to look at photos. there’s something about the timelessness of black and white photos that just makes me smile. i was super happy to see that i{heart}faces is doing “beautiful black and white” for their contest this week!

This week’s theme at i heart faces is “hugs & kisses.” i took this photo at disneyland while we were in line for the haunted mansion and my sweet boys were being so loving! the thing i love is that they’re always like this – these little boys are truly best friends who love to play and laugh together! it makes this mama’s heart sing… check out more entries over at i heart faces!!

I haven’t entered a photo for i heart faces in a little while, but i love beaches and this one is pretty fun. i heart babies!

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve participated in an iheartfaces challenge! I saw that this week was all about babies, and had to enter! Newborn photography is something I’ve been getting more into lately, and just love the teeny little toes and wrinkles and brand-newness! This week on iheartfaces, the challenge is “smiles”.  It’s tricky to get these boys to smile without it being fake.  My trick?  I sneeze.  They laugh.  I snap.  🙂

i {heart} collages

I really do.  Really.  I make one of my kids for my mom of that month’s favorite photos.  I was pretty excited to learn that this week’s i heart faces challenge was a collage!

i heart desserts

This week’s challenge on iheartfaces is a dessert photo.  I never remember to photograph anything I make for dessert (I’m probably too busy scarfing it down!), but I do have this shot from our trip to Argentina last May.  We had enjoyed an amazing day at a ranch and were winding down with dessert of two kinds of pie and biscuits.
